The Vietnamese Government chief made the calling on Monday at a reception for UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

Pham asked the UAE to support Viet Nam to develop Halal industries and services, produce Halal products, set up cooperation mechanisms for Halal certifications in order in a bid to further raise the two-way trade turnover.

Pham said that Viet Nam encourages UAE-based enterprises and investment funds to invest in and transfer technology in such areas as real estate, services, infrastructure and innovation to the Southeast Asian nation.

He voiced his support for the COP28 UAE Presidency, saying he is willing to join hands with the host country for the success of the conference.

In reply, Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed the pleasure to visit Viet Nam for the third time.

UAE's top leaders always regard Viet Nam as an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region, he added.

The minister affirmed that UAE investors and businesses highly value the opportunities and business and investment environment in Viet Nam and look forward to enhancing and elevating cooperation with Viet Nam, especially in the field of renewable energy.

He also affirmed that UAE considers the signing of the CEPA as the top priority in the bilateral ties with Viet Nam.

The two countries declared to kick off the CEPA on the occasion of Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien's working visit to the UAE from April 5-6.

The UAE is Viet Nam's largest trading partner in the Middle East - North Africa region, however, there is ample room for the two sides to tap the potential of their complementary economies./.
