Le hailed the role and contributions of the Francophonie, stressing that as an active and responsible member of the Francophone community, Viet Nam will continue contributing to joint efforts to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development among member countries and globally.
He urged the OIF to enhance its economic cooperation pillar, including supporting stronger cooperation between Viet Nam and Francophone members in areas such as science and technology, digital transformation, culture, and education, as well as expanding collaboration with Francophone countries in Africa and strengthening the teaching of the French language in Viet Nam.
Viet Nam stands ready to foster bilateral and trilateral cooperation with other Francophone member states, said Le.
Mushikiwabo, for her part, praised the country's active role and positive contributions to Francophonie activities, pledging to work with Viet Nam and other member states to boost cooperation and solidarity to enhance peace, stability, cooperation, and prosperity.
The OIF will continue stepping up cooperation with Viet Nam, particularly in education and training, sustainable economic development, and economic and trade cooperation with African countries, she underlined, expressing her hope that more Vietnamese officials will work at the organization.
Both sides vowed to work together in preparation for the upcoming Francophonie Summit scheduled to take place in Cambodia in November 2026, viewing the event as an important opportunity to further consolidate solidarity within the Francophone community, promote peace and sustainable development, and create new momentum for Francophone cooperation in the region./.
