Under Clauses 1 and 2, Article 112 of the Labor Code, workers are entitled to 11 days off on public holidays: New Year holiday: one day (January 1); Lunar New Year festival: five days; Reunification Day: one day (April 30); International Labor Day: one day (May 1); Labor Day: two days (September 2 and the preceding day or following day); and, Hung Kings' anniversary: one day (the 10th of the third month of the lunar year).

In 2024, the New Year holiday falls on Monday while the Lunar New Year is from February 8 to 14, or seven days off.

The Hung Kings' Festival, the Reunification Day and International Labor Day holidays respectively fall on April 18, April 30 and May 1 with only one day off each.

The Reunification Day and Labor Day holidays are on April 30 and May 1 with four days off.
