PM decides seven days off for 2024 Lunar New Year holiday

VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has decided that State employees shall have seven days off for the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday, starting from February 8, 2024.

The decision was made on the basis of the proposal by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

The Government chief also decided four days off for the National Day, from August 31- September 3, at the ministry's request.

The Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs was tasked to notify administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations and businesses, and workers about the aforesaid holidays.

Vietnamese Lunar New Year, also known as Tet Festival, is the most important festival of the year in Viet Nam.

In 2024, Tet falls on February 10th (Saturday). It is a Year of the Dragon./.
