Viet Nam strongly supports Cambodia as Chair of AIPA 2022
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed Viet Nam's strong support for Cambodia as Chair of ASEAN and ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) in 2022.

The Vietnamese Government chief made the point during a meeting with President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin in Phnom Penh on November 8.
The Prime Minister congratulated Cambodia on its important achievements, stressing that the successful organization of the commune elections in June this year is the prerequisite for the country to well organize the election of the 7th National Assembly in 2023, contributing to maintaining stability and creating a new impetus for Cambodia's development.
Pham suggested Cambodian National Assembly President Heng Samrin continue stronger economic cooperation on par with the potential and good relations between the two countries.
In reply, the top Cambodian legislator congratulated the Government and people of Viet Nam, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on the great achievements in socio-economic development and international integration.
Mr Heng Samrin welcomed the results of talks between the Prime Minister Pham and his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Techo Hun Sen and the signing of 11 cooperation documents on the occasion of Pham's ongoing visit to Cambodia.
He also appreciated the cooperation between the two Governments in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, education and training, culture, healthcare, and especially in land border demarcation./.
