Viet Nam sets new single-day record of COVID-19 cases

VGP – There were 29,413 COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, setting a new single-day record since the outbreak of the pandemic in Viet Nam, according to the Ministry of Health.

These cases bring the national caseload to 2,540,273 of which 198 are Omicron case.

The same day, the ministry reported further 6,193 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 2,232,947.

The ministry also announced additional 91 fatalities, raising the nation's COVID-19 death toll to 39,037 or 1.6 percent of the national patient tally.

The nation has administered 186,001,127 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 247,072 doses from Sunday./.
