Viet Nam receives 6.2 million int’l arrivals in four months
VGP - Foreing arrivals to Viet Nam totaled 6.2 million people over the last four months of the year, up 68.3 percent from the same period last year.

The above figure showed an increase of 3.9 percent compared to the same period in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, reported the General Statistics Office.
Of them, nearly 5.2 million arrived by air, accounting for 83.7 percent of the total and 1.6 times higher compared to the same period last year. Road arrivals reached 856,900 people, comprising 13.8 percent and 2.3 times higher, while sea arrivals reached 151,500 people, accounting for 2.5 percent and 3.4 times higher.
During the reviewed period, South Korea continued to be Viet Nam's biggest feeder of tourist arrivals with 1,601,000, followed by China with 1,248,000 tourists.
In April alone, the nation welcomed nearly 1.6 million international visitors, matching the numbers from March and marking a 58.2 percent increase year-on-year.
Revenue from accommodation and food services in the period was estimated to reach VND237.3 trillion (US$9.36 million), an increase of 15.3 percent over the same period last year while travel tourism revenue was estimated at VND19.4 trillion, marking a year-on-year increase of 49.3 percent./.
