Viet Nam calls for immediate cease-fire in Gaza

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang made the above statement on Thursday in reply to reporters' inquiry about Viet Nam's response to the current situation in the Gaza Strip.
In the spirit of the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at the emergency special session held on October 27, Viet Nam urges all parties to immediately cease fire, comply with international law and international humanitarian law, protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, establish a humanitarian corridor and immediately release the hostages being held, said Le.

Regarding the citizen protection in this area, Pham said that as the escalating situation in the Middle East region continues to become complicated, from October 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has adviced Vietnamese citizens in Israel to soon leave Israel to ensure safety.
