The top legislator of Viet Nam made the above statement during his online talks with President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández on March 25.

Vuong underscored that Viet Nam has attached great importance to the relations with Cuba and will continue working closely with Cuba to deploy high-level commitments and contents of bilateral cooperation, including cooperation in health care, pharmaceuticals and COVID-19 prevention and control.

He took the occasion to inform that the Vietnamese legislative body will soon donate informatics equipment to help its Cuban counterpart improve the operational efficiency.

For his part, Hernandez affirmed that Cuba gives the top priority to the cooperative relations with Viet Nam, expects to enhance economic, trade and investment ties and promote experience in law-making activities with the Southeast Asian country.

He thanked Viet Nam for having backed call for ending embargo policies against Cuba.

The two top legislators noted with pleasure at the positive developments in the relationship between the two countries over the recent years despite negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They agreed to continue increasing the exchange of delegations at all levels in suitable forms and organizing seminars, talks and exchange of experts to share experience in renewal, especially in law-making, supervision, building and perfecting the rule-governed socialist State and deciding important issues of each country.

The pair pledged to create more favorable legal conditions for Vietnamese investors in Cuba, and continue promoting economic and trade relations as well as cooperation in such fields of agriculture, fishery, biotechnology and tourism.
