Viet Nam among Russia's top partners in Asia-Pacific: Ambassador Bezdetko

Bezdetko said, Russia always treasures its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Viet Nam.

He affirmed that the Russian side, and he personally, stand ready to closely work with Vietnamese side to implement the cooperation orientations agreed by the two countries' senior leaders.

The diplomat vowed to promote practical cooperation in traditional areas as well as emerging fields, particularly in ensuring energy security and fostering green transition, and science and technology.

Le, for his part, hailed the positive developments in Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, especially in maintaining regular high-level exchanges and contacts and promoting win-win cooperation across all fields.

The Prime Minister urged the Ambassador to join hands with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and agencies to effectively implement high-level agreements and further deepen comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nama and Russia.

He reiterated Viet Nam's support for stronger ASEAN–Russia Strategic Partnership, calling on ASEAN and Russia to promote dialogue and substantive cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as economy and trade, energy, science and technology, education and training, connectivity, and responses to non-traditional security challenges, thereby contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Prime Minister Le and Ambassador Bezdetko exchanged views and measures to reinforce bilateral cooperation across all fields, from politics and diplomacy to economy and trade, energy and oil and gas, science and technology, education and training, culture, and tourism.

The two sides pledged to coordinate in organizing events to commemorate the 35th anniversary of ASEAN–Russia relations./.
