The air service reaffirms the carrier's commitment to expanding its international network and strengthening connectivity between Viet Nam and the Netherlands.

The inaugural flight, using wide-body Airbus A350 aircraft, departed from Ha Noi-based Noi Bai International Airport at 3:50 a.m. on June 16 with nearly 300 passengers on board.

After an estimated flight time of 12 hours, it is scheduled to arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The return flight departed at 2:00 p.m. local time on the same day.

Viet Nam Airlines will operate the Ha Noi–Amsterdam route with three round-trip flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

The new service provides a direct link between Viet Nam's capital city and Amsterdam—one of Europe's key centers for finance, trade, logistics, and economic activity—while offering passengers a more convenient travel option between Viet Nam and the Netherlands, as well as onward connections to other destinations across the region.

It is expected to enhance Viet Nam's position on the world aviation map, creating fresh momentum for economic exchange, tourism development, and international cooperation in the years ahead.

Moreover, from July 1 this year, the carrier will increase the frequency of its Ha Noi–Moscow route from three to four round-trip flights per week to meet growing travel demand between Viet Nam and the Russian Federation./.
