The ranking was compiled based on the monitoring and assessment of 320 airlines, reflecting their compliance with international safety standards and demonstrating the national carriers' sustained improvement over the years.

AirlineRatings is a world-leading and highly reputable organization in the field of aviation safety and quality assessment, widely referenced by airlines and regulatory authorities around the globe.

Its assessment criteria include the incident rate per total number of flights, fleet age, serious incidents, pilot training, and safety audits.

Ms. Sharon Petersen, CEO of AirlineRatings, stated that Viet Nam Airlines' improvement reflects its consistent progress across multiple areas, such as fleet quality, safety systems, industry assessment results, a very low incident rate, and operational stability.

In addition, Viet Nam's aviation safety oversight has continued to be strengthened, as reflected in ICAO assessments, delivering benefits not only for Vietnamese airlines but also for airlines operating flights to and from Viet Nam, she noted.

Viet Nam Airlines is the first airline in the country to be awarded the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The airline's Safety Management System (SMS), established in 2007, meets the highest international safety standards and has been approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam as a model for other domestic aviation entities to develop and refine their safety documentation./.
