USAID supports higher education development
VGP - The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) have launched a five-year Higher Education Policy Support (HEPS) project in Viet Nam.
Realized from September 2023 through September 2028, the project aims to support the leadership role of the MoET in perfecting the legal framework to promote the development of Vietnamese higher education.
It will assist the MoET and a number of selected Vietnamese universities to implement digital transformation and internationalization of the higher education, thus helping the nation achieve its socio-economic development goals.
The project supports the MoET to attract the participation of stakeholders in the system in analysis and implementation activities, expand access to higher education and increase the presence of women and youth in rural and urban areas, people with disabilities, and ethnic minorities in important discussions on the future of education.
The project also contributes to improving the capacity of units participating in the higher education system through training activities and sharing experience in addition to regular training./.
