Top Vietnamese, Uzbek legislators hold talks

Ismoilov affirmed that Uzbekistan attaches importance to the traditional and friendly relations with Viet Nam, expressing gratitude for Viet Nam's support at multilateral forums, including the United Nations, especially when Uzbekistan put forward the initiative on environmental protection.
Tran, for his part, reiterated that Viet Nam always treasures the long-standing traditional friendship with Uzbekistan and expects to promote cooperation across all fields, meeting the interests of their peoples.
He urged both sides to soon finalize legal frameworks such as the visa exemption agreement for all types of passports, an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, and an agreement on investment promotion and protection, with a view to boosting economic, trade, investment, and tourism relations between the two countries.
The two legislators vowed to continue enhancing delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level visits, and promote linkages between ministries, sectors, and localities to boost cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, investment, culture, tourism, agriculture, green development, digital transformation, infrastructure, and climate change.
Welcoming the launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Cam Ranh in the central province of Khanh Hoa, they called on relevant authorities to consider opening more routes to further tap into the potential and advantages of both countries.
They also emphasized the need for favorable visa policies to facilitate mutual travel for citizens of the two nations.
Both sides also welcomed the plan to soon open representative offices in each country, which will help strengthen connections and effectively promote bilateral relations.
They expressed their hope to strengthen ties between the two parliaments via exchanges and soon sign a cooperation agreement between two legislative bodies./.
