China is willing to maintain strategic exchanges with Viet Nam, promote high-level contacts, and enhance the role of cooperation mechanisms between the two legislative bodies, the Viet Nam-China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation, and the ministerial meeting of the Viet Nam-China "3+3" strategic dialogue on diplomacy, defense and public security, he noted.
The Chinese Premier suggested the two countries accelerate the construction of standard-gauge railway lines connecting with China's regional development strategies.
He also called for stronger connectivity in inland waterways and road transport, the development of smart border gates and cross-border economic cooperation zones, and electricity connectivity between the two countries.
Li spoke highly of Viet Nam's participation as a founding member of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, emphasizing the need to step up bilateral cooperation in applying AI to manufacturing and smart agriculture, as well as in training highly skilled personnel.
China stands ready to open its market further and import more high-quality Vietnamese goods and agricultural products, while fostering stronger ties in inspection and quarantine, stated the Premier.
He welcomed Viet Nam's engagement as the theme country in the "Big Market for All: Export to China" initiative and encouraged capable Chinese companies to invest in Viet Nam.
China supports stronger people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, the early establishment of a Viet Nam-China Education Cooperation Committee, and the faster implementation of aid projects.
Li also proposed that the two sides coordinate closely to organize the Viet Nam-China Year of Tourism Cooperation successfully.
Tran, for his part, stressed that advancing relations with China is a consistent policy, an objective requirement and a strategic choice, as well as a top priority in Viet Nam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification.
He urged the two sides to maintain high-level contacts and strengthen strategic exchanges, make effective use of strategic dialogue mechanisms, and step up cooperation among key agencies, particularly those responsible for diplomacy, defence and public security.
The top Vietnamese legislator expressed his hope that the two sides would elevate strategic infrastructure connectivity, particularly railway, and commence and complete connecting railway lines at an early date to facilitate exchanges between their peoples.
Tran also called for further trade facilitation, especially by creating more favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods and agricultural products to enter the Chinese market.
The Vietnamese legislator suggested both sides strengthen border-gate cooperation, expand the smart border gate model, and develop cross-border economic cooperation zones and expand high-quality investment cooperation.
Tran also suggested both sides step up collaboration in science and technology, innovation, and high-level human resources training, particularly in key areas such as AI, smart cities and smart manufacturing.
In this process, the Vietnamese National Assembly will work alongside the Vietnamese Government and closely work with Chinese agencies to strengthen exchanges of experience and jointly develop and refine a favorable legal framework for bilateral cooperation, he noted.
The two leaders expressed their pleasure at the positive growth momentum in Viet Nam-China relations, with substantive achievements in political ties, economic, trade and investment cooperation, strategic infrastructure connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides vowed to boost ties at multilateral forums to enhance their respective international roles and standing, and work together to effectively manage their land border and better control and resolve maritime issues. /.
