In a sincere and friendly atmosphere, the two top legislators informed each other about recent development in respective countries, and expressed their pleasure at the positive, profound, and comprehensive growth of Viet Nam-China relations over the past time.

Zhao reaffirmed that China always attaches importance to the relations with Viet Nam, standing ready to further deepen the relationship between the two countries.

In a bid to further deepen the bilateral ties, the two sides agreed to maintain high-level exchanges, elevate strategic trust, and create a more solid political foundation for advancing bilateral cooperation across channels and sectors.

Both sides agreed to promote bilateral trade in a more balanced and sustainable manner, high-quality investment, science and technology cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.

The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in education, culture, and tourism; work together to better manage the shared land border line, and better control and resolve differences in order to maintain stability and peace at sea.

Tran and Zhao also agreed that the two legislative bodies should boost exchanges and experience sharing to create a favorable legal environment for bilateral cooperation in key sectors; promote the implementation of bilateral agreements; and strengthen coordination at multilateral parliamentary forums.

Following their talks, Tran and Zhao co-chaired the second session of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese NPC./.
