The Vietnamese leader briefed about his successful summit meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which both countries upgraded ties into Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the spirit of 'shared vision, strategic convergence, substantive cooperation'.
To called on President Murmu to direct relevant Indian authorities to help Viet Nam increase the frequency of direct flights and remove tariff and non-tariff barriers on Vietnamese goods imported into India.
Murmu, for his part, welcomed the recently-signed cooperation agreements in areas such as science and technology, cybersecurity, healthcare, critical minerals, and tourism during the top Vietnamese visit leader's visit.
She reaffirmed strong support for the two countries to further deepen relations within the newly-established framework, stating that the enhanced bilateral ties would bring practical benefits to their peoples.
India always regards Viet Nam as a leading important partner in its Act East Policy and Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative, she underlined.
She expressed thanks for Viet Nam's early completion of the review of the ASEAN–India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA).
Currently, more than 400 Indian investors are currently operating in Viet Nam, she said, expressing her hope that Viet Nam would continue to facilitate favorable conditions for these investors in the spirit of the enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and in accordance with Vietnamese law, while also encouraging Vietnamese businesses to invest in India.
The Indian President pledged to continue supporting Viet Nam within the framework of Mekong–Ganga Cooperation, the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program, and other educational scholarships.
To build a solid foundation for bilateral relations, both sides affirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in culture, religion, people-to-people exchanges, and education.
The two leaders vowed to continue close coordination at multilateral forums such as the United Nations and ASEAN.
Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining peace, stability, security, safety, and freedom of navigation and overflights, as well as resolving disputes via peaceful means in accordance with international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982)./.
