To Lam hosts Chairman of Japan Bank for International Cooperation

To hailed the positive contributions of the JBIC and Tadashi to Viet Nam's socio-economic development, particularly via key projects on infrastructure and climate change adaptation.

He welcomed the Asian Zero Emission Community (AZEC) initiative proposed by former Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, adding that Viet Nam is making efforts to implement the roadmap toward its net-zero emissions target, as committed at the COP26.

Viet Nam stands ready to work with Japan and other countries in the aforementioned areas, the top Vietnamese Party leader, suggesting Japan and the JBIC continue to support Viet Nam's development process while enhancing infrastructure connectivity in Southeast Asia and the Mekong Subregion, particularly in the fields of transportation, energy, and big data infrastructure.

Tadashi reiterated that the Japanese Government considers Viet Nam a key partner in the region, willing to cooperate with the Southeast Asian nation in traditional areas such as transportation infrastructure and climate change adaptation.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to expand collaboration into newly-emerging fields such as energy transition, artificial intelligence, big data, and startups, thereby making active contributions to Viet Nam's development and strengthening Viet Nam-Japan relations./.
