During the session, the Central Committee will review the implementation of the Resolution adopted at the 14th National Party Congress, the Party building work, the development of the political system, and the national development in the new period.

In his opening remarks, General Secretary and President To Lam stressed that the 14th National Party Congress had set out the Party's guidelines, objectives, and major strategic orientations.

The third plenum must translate those strategic orientations into policy decisions that remove bottlenecks, unlock resources, and create new drivers of national development, he noted.

The top Vietnamese leader called on members of the Central Committee to focus on discussing and adopting major decisions to bring about four strategic transformations as follows:

(i) Enhancing the Party's leadership and governing capacity as well as the quality and efficiency of the State apparatus;

(ii) Ensuring unified governance of the national development space and more effective mobilization and utilization of national resources;

(iii) Establishing a development model driven by productivity, knowledge, technology, and human capital;

(iv) Strengthening proactive risk prevention, resilience, adaptability, and national security.

Every choice, he emphasized, must place the interests of the nation and the people, as well as the country's long-term development, above all.

Following the conclusion of the plenum, every resolution and conclusion must be translated immediately into concrete action programs and implementation plans, stated the leader.

The plenum will run through July 24./.
