Thank-you messages to int’l friends for condolences on passing of Party chief

VGP - Vietnamese leaders have sent thank-you letters to countries, partners, political parties and international friends for their special affection and words of encouragement in the face of the great loss of the Party, State, people of Viet Nam and Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s family.

The letters were sent by the Party Central Committee, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Permanent Member of the Party Secretariat Luong Cuong.

The leaders of the Party and State of Viet Nam said they hope to work with partner countries to continue fulfilling the late Party General Secretary's wish to deepen the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and partner countries, meeting the interests of the people of each country and contributing to peace, cooperation and prosperity in the region and the world.

Leaders and friends from 103 countries and territories and 32 organizations worldwide sent nearly 500 letters, telegrams, and messages of condolences to Viet Nam's top leaders and the family of the Vietnamese Party leader.

Meanwhile, 100 international delegations paid tribute to the late party leader in Viet Nam and more than 3,500 delegations paid respects to him at Vietnamese representative agencies around the world.

Letters, telegrams, and messages of condolence expressed deep affection, endless grief, and profound respect for the Party chief, honored his contributions to Viet Nam's development and relations between Viet Nam and its partners, as well as expressed their desire to continue to bolster cooperation with Viet Nam in all fields./.
