Standing Deputy PM pays working visit to Singapore
VGP - Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is on a working visit to Singapore from January 10-14, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Viet Nam and Singapore established diplomatic ties in 1973. The two nations upgraded ties into a comprehensive strategic partnership in March 2025.
Viet Nam is Singapore's fourth-largest trading partner within ASEAN and 11th-largest globally.
In the first 10 months of 2025, bilateral trade reached US$9.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.8 percent.
In terms of investment, as of October 1 last year, Singapore was the largest ASEAN investor in Viet Nam and ranked second among 153 countries and territories investing in the country, with 4,277 valid projects worth over US$88.4 billion.
The largest project in Viet Nam is the Bac Lieu Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Power Plant, with a total registered capital of US$4 billion in the southern province of Bac Lieu. The network of 20 Viet Nam–Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIPs) across 13 provinces and cities continues to be a symbol of successful cooperation between the two countries.
Meanwhile, as of October 1, 2025, Vietnamese investors had invested in 193 projects worth more than US$686 million in Singapore, ranking 10th among 58 destinations receiving Vietnamese outward investment./.
