South African President to pay State visit to Viet Nam
VGP - President of South Africa Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa is set to pay a State visit to Viet Nam from October 23-24, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Tuesday.

The visit will be made at the invitation of the Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong.
Viet Nam and South Africa set up diplomatic ties on December 22, 1993.
South Africa is Viet Nam's largest trading partner and export market in Africa. In 2024, the total bilateral trade reached nearly US$1.8 billion.
As of July 2025, South Africa had 20 valid investment projects in the Southeast Asian nation with a total registered capital of US$0.88 million, ranking 109th out of 151 countries and territories investing in Viet Nam.
Meanwhile, Viet Nam has poured US$8.86 million in four projects in South Africa../.
