Viet Nam ranks 3rd place on 12th ASEAN Para Games medal tally

VGP - Viet Nam finished third at the 12th ASEAN Para Games with 201 medals, including 66 gold, 58 silver, and 77 bronze medals.

Viet Nam sent a delegation of 164 members, including 122 athletes, who are competing in eight out of the 13 sports at the tournament, namely track-and-field, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo, and boccia.

The above results go beyond expectations as before the tournament, Viet Nam only targeted to win 50-55 gold medals and secure a place in the top four in the final medal tally.

These results are also the best gained by Vietnamese athletes with disabilities at an ASEAN Para Games organized outside the country so far.

Indonesia topped the medal tally with 401 followed by Thailand with 328./.
