National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue made that above statement while attending a forum on policies and laws to promote economic, trade and investment ties between Viet Nam and Iran which took place in Tehran on August 9.
Speaking at the event, Vuong reiterated that Viet Nam speaks highly of the role of Iran in the region, especially its potentials in terms of science-technology, economic scale, population, start-up and innovation.
He called on both sides to remove obstacles and difficulties to increase their bilateral trade and continue perfecting legal institutional frameworks to facilitate their enterprises' partnership.
Besides, the two nations should urge working groups on trade exchange and payment, he suggested, adding that Viet Nam and Iran signed a number of agreements on double taxation avoidance, judicial assistance and customs, along with memoranda of understanding on technology and education.
Within the framework of the top Vietnamese legislator's official visit, more cooperation documents were inked, covering collaboration between the legislative bodies, plant and animal quarantine, culture and education.
The Vietnamese NA has been making efforts in perfecting the legal system and tacking obstacles for foreign investors, asserted Vuong.
The top legislator voiced his support for the two countries' relevant agencies to organize cooperation activities and business delegation exchanges to seek further investment opportunities to enhance linkages between their localities and enterprises.
The forum was jointly held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture./.
