At the meeting, To Lam highlighted that Viet Nam–India relations rest on a firm foundation of political trust, a shared strategic outlook, and long-term development interests. He reaffirmed that Viet Nam consistently values its ties with India and supports India's growing role in regional and global affairs.

Despite an increasingly complex global and regional landscape, bilateral relations have remained strong and resilient. The visit, he noted, demonstrates the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two nations, contributing to peace, stability, and development at both regional and global levels.

In reply, Ajit Doval said that India consistently regards Viet Nam as a leading important partner in the region, with positive contributions to peace, stability, cooperation, and development.

Both sides agreed that security cooperation is becoming an increasingly important pillar of the bilateral ties, and stressed the need to strengthen coordination among security, law enforcement, and policy agencies. General Secretary and President To Lam suggested the two countries enhance strategic information sharing, expand collaboration in cybersecurity and digital infrastructure protection, step up efforts to combat high-tech crime, and improve the capacity to address non-traditional security challenges.

Within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, the two sides underscored the importance of effective coordination in combatting terrorism, transnational crime, online fraud, and other emerging threats, thereby helping safeguard national security and social order in each country.

The pair also agreed to better link security with development, while expanding cooperation in strategic technology fields such as AI, digital transformation, innovation, energy, and high-quality human resource training—seen as essential to strengthening each country's strategic autonomy amid intensifying global technological competition.

On regional and international issues, both sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace, stability, security, safety, and freedom of navigation and overflight, as well as resolving disputes by peaceful means in accordance with international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. They also agreed to beef up strategic consultations and coordination at regional and global forums, contributing to a stable, inclusive, and rules-based regional architecture in a rapidly evolving security environment.

Both sides expressed confidence that, with a strong foundation of traditional friendship, high strategic trust, strong political will, and shared perspectives especially in security cooperatio, the relations between Viet Nam and India will continue to deepen in a more substantive and effective manner, bringing benefits to both peoples and contributing to peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and beyond./.
