At the meeting with President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissco Embaló, To Lam affirmed that the Embaló's official visit to Viet Nam from September 5-9 created an impetus for bilateral ties.
He said that he has directed Viet Nam's relevant ministries and agencies to work closely with Guinea-Bissau's agencies to effectively realize the outcomes of the visit.
Both leaders affirmed they attach importance to the friendship and traditional cooperation between the two nations, expressing their delight at the active and effective cooperation at multi-lateral forums, including the United Nations and the International Organization of La Francophone.
During the meeting between the Vietnamese leader and Madagascar's President Andry Nirina Rajoelina, both sides said they treasure the Viet Nam-Madagascar friendship and traditional cooperation which have been nurtured and developed over the last 50 years.
They expressed their determination to strengthening the bilateral ties at all levels, via all channels and across all sectors, through increasing high-ranking delegation exchanges and fostering collaboration in agriculture.
Rajoelina said that he is impressed by Viet Nam's development achievements, proposing both countries seek for cooperation opportunities in agriculture, especially stepping up cooperation in rice production.
At the meeting with President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, To Lam spoke highly of active achievements in the friendship ties, remarkably in economics.
The two leaders pledged to enhance all-level delegation exchanges, and carry out practical measures to effectively uphold each side's advantages and potentials, for the development and prosperity of both countries.
The same day, To Lam attended the opening session of the 19th Francophonie Summit held at Villers-Cotterêts castle, France.
The top Vietnamese leader also attended a banquet hosted by the French President. He is set to deliver a key speech at the summit on October 5. He will have meetings and discussions with leaders of many countries and international organisations to boost bilateral and multilateral diplomatic, politic, economic and trade cooperation./.
