State leader hosts Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission

The President affirmed that Viet Nam always considers developing friendly and cooperative relations with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, sel-reliance, diversification, and multilateralism.

He expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping at the core, China will successfully achieve its goals, making significant contributions to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

Luong hailed the outcomes of the discussions between Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense Pham Van Giang, and Zhang Youxia.

He expressed satisfaction in the effective achievements in the bilateral defense relations, which are aligned with the documents and agreements reached by their senior leaders.

In the coming time, the two countries' Central Military Commissions and defense ministries should continue to enhance and deepen the bilateral defense cooperation via delegation exchanges at all levels, especially at the high level, and uphold the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, suggested the Vietnamese leader.

Zhang, for his part, congratulated Luong on his election as the President of Viet Nam and the nation's socio-economic development achievements over the last 40 years.

He said that his visit aims to implement the common perceptions between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, as well as step up in-depth cooperation and exchanges between the two nations' militaries in the fields of defense and security.

The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Viet Nam and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-China diplomatic ties, Zhang said, suggesting that both sides maintain the momentum under the guidance of the top leaders as well as foster collaboration across various fields for the interests of their peoples.

Both sides lauded the robust developments in the bilateral relations. Notably, after high-level visits by the leaders of the two Parties, a new positioning has been established, elevating the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

This progress promotes the building of a Viet Nam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, in the direction of the "6 more", bringing practical benefits for their peoples and contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world, they emphasized./.
