Viet Nam, China sign 10 cooperation deals
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang witnessed the signing of 10 important cooperation documents following the pair's summit meeting in Ha Noi on October 13.
The singing took place on the occasion of the first official visit to Viet Nam by Chinese Premier Li Qiang. This is also the first visit by a Chinese Premier to Viet Nam in 11 years.
The signed deals are as follows:
1. The MoU between the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport and the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission on technical plans for rail connectivity between Viet Nam's Lao Cai station and China's Hekou North station.
2. The working minutes between Viet Nam's Ministry of Transport and the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) on a feasibility study for a project to build the planning schemes for the Dong Dang – Ha Noi and Mong Cai - Ha Long - Hai Phong standard-gauge railway routes.
3. The MoU between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Planning and Investment and CIDCA on jointly promoting repairs and maintenance of the Viet Nam-China friendship palace.
4. The MoU between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Planning and Investment and CIDCA on strengthening human resource development cooperation under the Global Development Initiative.
5. The MoU between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, and China's Ministry of Commerce on enhancing cooperation in building sustainable agricultural supply chains.
6. The MoU between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, and China's Ministry of Commerce on establishing a working group to study a model for the development of cross-border economic cooperation zones between Viet Nam and China.
7. The action plan between the two countries' customs agencies on mutual recognition of Viet Nam's priority enterprise program and China's Authorized Economic Operator program.
8. The MoU on cooperation between the Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) and the China Central Television (CCTV).
9. The MoU on cooperation between the Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, and Peking University.
10. The MoU between the National Payment Corporation of Viet Nam (NAPAS) and UnionPay International on cross-boder QR code-based payment service between Viet Nam and China./.
