Prime Minister leaves for WEF annual meeting 2024

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will leave Ha Noi early Tuesday for Davos, Switzerland to attend the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at the invitation of WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.

He is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat, Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Thi Hong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People's Committee Phan Van Mai, Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of National Defense Vu Hai San, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Do Ngoc Huynh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Trung.

This year's meeting will provide a crucial space to focus on the fundamental principles driving trust, including transparency, consistency and accountability.

The meeting will welcome over 100 governments, all major international organizations, 1000 Forum's partners, as well as civil society leaders, experts, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and news outlets.

After his tour to Davos, Prime Minister Pham will pay official visits to Romania and Hungary with an aim to strengthen political trust and revitalize traditional cooperation with these two European countries./.
