Prime Minister congratulates newly-elected Belgian counterpart

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son sent his congratulatory message to Mr. Maxime Prevot on his appointment as Foreign Minister of Belgium.

Viet Nam and Belgium have seen their relationship growing continuously across all areas over the past 52 years since the two countries set up diplomatic relations on March 22, 1973.

Belgium is the sixth largest trading partner of Viet Nam in the European Union, while Viet Nam is the second largest partner of Belgium in the ASEAN bloc. The bilateral trade reached US$4.73 billion in 2022./.
