The event, co-organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey and Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board, attracted the participation of 200 executives from both nations' enterprises.
The bilateral trade value hit US$2.4 billion in 2022. Turkey is currently the biggest Middle East investor in Viet Nam with the total registered capital worth nearly US$1 billion.
Addressing the event, Pham said, Viet Nam expects to foster cooperation with Turkey in such fields like digital economy, green transition, circular economy, knowledge economy, sharing economy, regarding science, technology and innovation as a new driving force for development.
Viet Nam will create most favorable conditions for high-tech business giants, including those from Turkey, to pour investment in the Southeast Asian country, he noted.
There are ample rooms for both sides to further strengthen collaboration, the Prime Minister highlighted, urging Turkey to recognize Viet Nam's market economy status.
He called on both sides to negotiate a free trade agreement which would make it easier for their business communities.
Both Viet Nam and Turkey hope to upgrade their ties to a higher level and promote cooperation in all spheres of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, shared the Vietnamese leader.
Both nations vow to create an environment and ecosystem for businesses to partner and invest more comprehensively and deeply, exploiting their untapped potentials, outstanding opportunities, and competitive advantages, he added.
Viet Nam will continue improving its business environment to enable those from Turkey to launch effective operation in the country, stressed the Prime Minister, pledging that the nation will protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors.
He expressed his hope that in the upcoming time, economic cooperation between the two countries will be lifted to a new height thanks to the active and proactive contributions of the two countries' business communities.
Leaders from Turkish enterprises said they wish to enhance stronger ties with Viet Nam in fields of transport infrastructure, production of household goods, science and technology, finance, aviation, logistics, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and the Halal industry./.
