At Noi Bai International Airport, Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan welcomed the Polish leader and his high-level delegation.
The visit marks Tusk's first official tour to Viet Nam in his current term as Prime Minister of Poland and is expected to inject fresh impetus into bilateral cooperation, particularly in economics, trade and investment.
According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, the visit is expected to promote substantive economic cooperation, improve market access and address barriers to bilateral trade.
It offers the two sides an opportunity to expand collaboration in high-value-added sectors, including digital technology, green energy, quantum technology and high-quality human resource development.
Joanna Skoczek, Chargé d'Affaires of the Polish Embassy in Viet Nam, said the visit aims to identify and reaffirm priority areas with significant potential for cooperation, including education, trade, collaboration at international forums, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
Several important cooperation documents are expected to be signed during the visit, helping strengthen the legal framework for bilateral ties, she added.

Earlier, before arriving in Ha Noi, Prime Minister Tusk visited the central city of Da Nang, including Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He also paid tribute to Polish architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski (1944–1997), whose contributions played a significant role in the preservation of Hoi An Ancient Town and the My Son Sanctuary.
Poland was among the first European countries to establish diplomatic relations with Viet Nam, on February 4, 1950. Over the past seven decades, the two countries have maintained a longstanding friendship and steadily expanded cooperation across various fields./.
