Nguyen Thi Thanh elected National Assembly Vice Chairwoman

Nguyen was promoted to the new role from her previous position as Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee's Board for Deputy Affairs.

She was born in 1967 in Yen Nhan commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. She served as Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee from August 2013.

In April 2020, she served as Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Standing Committee's Board for Deputy Affairs and became Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission.

Following the latest appointment, the National Assembly comprises four Deputy Vice Chairpersons: Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, Mr. Tran Quang Phuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh./.
