The Party chief made that above statement while addressing a seminar with leading British and global strategists in AI and technology, in London, on October 28 as part of his on-going official visit to the UK.
The General Secretary expressed his hope that in the time ahead, experts will continue to accompany and support Viet Nam in developing AI, in particular, and science and technology, in general.
He called for sharing knowledge and experience in formulating a national AI strategy and developing digital infrastructure and an innovation ecosystem as well as promoting investment, technology transfer, and AI applications in key sectors such as healthcare, smart agriculture, and digital education.
To suggested experts work with Viet Nam to successfully implement major science and technology programs, particularly in new and pioneering fields, to help the country build a creative and self-reliant economy.
The leader invited experts and scientists with extensive experience in science, technology, and AI to visit Viet Nam for enhancing exchanges and coordinating with Viet Nam's science and technology policy-making and implementation agencies to turn ideas discussed during the seminar into reality.
At the seminar, many experts highly praised Viet Nam's dynamic development. they recommended the Vietnamese governments focus on building reliable digital infrastructure and developing responsible AI standards that ensure privacy, fairness, and transparency for AI to truly serve socio-economic development and improve people's lives.
The seminar marked an important step forward in Viet Nam's journey to become a pioneering nation in digital economy and global innovation, while also helping to build a world where technology serves humanity and promotes peace and prosperity./.
