State President Luong Cuong meets Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly in Cairo, August 5, 2025
Prime Minister Madbouly welcomes State President Luong's ongoing visit to Egypt, emphasizing that the visit would open up new chapter in the good relationship between the two countries.
Madbouly congratulated on Viet Nam's remarkable development achievements, expressing his belief that Viet Nam would successfully realize its goal to become a high-income, developed country by 2045.
He praised the two countries' decision to upgrade their bilateral ties to comprehensive partnership during the visit, affirming incumbent leaders of Egypt wish to promote the special relationship with Viet Nam.
Madbouly urged the two countries to actively work together to commence talks on a free trade agreement as agreed upon between State President Luong and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi during the pair's summit meeting earlier the same day.
In reply, Luong affirmed Viet Nam always attaches importance to advancing the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Egypt.
He suggested both countries increase the exchange of delegations at all levels and formulate new legal framework to facilitate bilateral cooperation.
Luong called on both sides to create favorable conditions for their businesses to invest in such potential areas as logistics, energy infrastructure development, industrial production, garment, renewable energy, green transition, and digital transformation among others.
He also called on the two countries to step up coordination, consultation and mutual support at international and regional forums, share experience in peace-keeping operations to contribute to peace and stability in each region and the world.
Luong took the occasion to convey Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's invitation to Prime Minister Madbouly to visit Viet Nam.
