Bui reiterated that Viet Nam consistently considers Russia as one of the top strategic and trusted partners in its foreign policy.
He expressed his gratitude to and suggested that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant authorities continue support for the Vietnamese community in the country, thereby contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two nations.
He also suggested Russia continue considering visa exemption for Vietnamese citizens holding ordinary passports to promote tourism to Russia.
Lavrov, for his part, welcomed and highly appreciated Bui's Russia visit, which took place as both countries commemorate significant milestones, such as the 50th national reunification anniversary, the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam's National Day, and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Viet Nam is a priority partner in Russia's foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region, Lavrov reassured.
Both sides hailed the dynamic development of the Viet Nam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across all fields.
Political relations continue to be strengthened with a high level of mutual trust, and exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially high-level visits, they said, appraising positive growth in economic and trade cooperation.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the impressive achievements in cooperation across various fields, including defense, security, education and training, science and technology, culture, tourism, humanitarian exchanges, and local-to-local linkages, despite challenges posed by the global geopolitical situation.
The two countries' efforts to resolve difficulties in cooperation and gradually restore direct flights serve as a strong catalyst, creating momentum for more effective collaboration in all areas.
They vowed to continue increasing all-level delegation exchanges, particularly high-level visits, and people-to-people exchanges, and pledged to fostering collaboration between the two foreign ministries.
Both sides emphasized the need to expand collaboration in such fields as energy, especially green and renewable energy, transportation infrastructure, logistics, science and technology, agriculture, biomedicine, culture, tourism, and education and training.
The two sides agreed to further promote role of the Viet Nam–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement, focus on implementing key projects and developing new initiatives to make economic, trade, and investment cooperation a central pillar of Viet Nam-Russia relations.
The two sides also agreed to enhance cooperation between the two foreign ministries and promote their coordinating role in order to make a positive and effective contribution to the Viet Nam-Russia partnership.
Regarding international and regional issues of mutual concern, Viet Nam highly appreciates Russia's role and contributions in multilateral organizations and vows to further strengthen coordination in key organizations and forums, particularly the United Nations (UN), ASEAN, and BRICS, as well as in addressing non-traditional security challenges.
Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to upholding and adhering to international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982) to maintain peace, security, stability, and cooperation in the region./.
