At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho acknowledged and appreciated Google's contributions to Viet Nam, particularly its efforts to help people and businesses access knowledge, improve digital skills, and seize opportunities arising from the digital economy.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government regards science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers of growth and development in the new era.

With a large market, favorable demographic structure, and increasingly dynamic technology community, Viet Nam has favorable conditions to become a regional hub for technology development and application, he said.

As Viet Nam continues to deepen international integration, the country is placing greater emphasis on international integration in science and technology and on effectively mobilizing external resources for national development.

Viet Nam seeks to build partnerships based on co-creation and mutual benefit, linking investment with research and development, technology transfer, high-quality human resource development, strengthening domestic enterprises, and developing products and solutions with global value.

The host called on Google to continue supporting Viet Nam in developing a dynamic digital and innovation ecosystem, helping "Make in Viet Nam" products and solutions expand into regional and global markets.

He affirmed that Viet Nam welcomes and facilitates American investors, particularly those investing in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

For his part, Cris Turner expressed Google's desire to further strengthen its partnership with Viet Nam and explore effective and practical avenues of cooperation, particularly in support of Viet Nam's forthcoming artificial intelligence (AI) development goals.

Turner shared Google's assessment of Viet Nam's potential and prospects in AI, along with information on global AI trends and the company's experience in the field. He also proposed several areas of cooperation aimed at further strengthening economic, trade, and investment ties between Viet Nam and the UN.

Welcoming the views and proposals from Turner and the delegation, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his hope that the strong cooperation between Google and its Vietnamese partners would continue to expand in depth and effectiveness, contributing more substantially to Viet Nam's development in the digital era./.
