Do expressed his delight at the positive developments in the Viet Nam-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as evidenced by the frequent exchanges and contacts between their senior leaders, enhanced cooperation in war legacy remediation, stronger collaboration in emerging fields such as high technology, and energy.

Viet Nam expects to work with the U.S. to continue realizing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership towards a deeper and more substantive manner, in line with the interests of their peoples and businesses, the Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister said.

He expressed his regret over the U.S.' imposition of very high reciprocal tariff on Viet Nam, emphasizing that the Vietnamese and U.S. economies are highly complementary.

Viet Nam stands ready to closely coordinate with the U.S. side to reach specific measures to foster stable and long-term growth in bilateral economic and trade relations, bringing practical benefits to consumers and business communities of both countries, asserted Do.

O'Neill consented with Do's assessment of the positive and comprehensive development in the Viet Nam-U.S. relations.

The U.S. treasures Viet Nam's role and position in the region and wishes to continue working closely with Viet Nam to effectively promote the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework, said O'Neill.

Regarding cooperation at regional forums, O'Neill emphasized that the U.S. highly values and consistently supports ASEAN's central role, affirming that the U.S. will continue to actively participate in ASEAN-led regional mechanisms.

Both sides pledged to join hands in organizing meaningful commemorative events, with a focus on promoting visits by senior leaders in 2025 when the two countries mark 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1995–2025)./.
