The Cambodian leader expressed his hope that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), headed by General Secretary, President To Lam, Viet Nam would continue to develop rapidly and sustainably, emphasizing that Viet Nam's economic development achievements also bring benefits to Cambodia.
Le, for his part, reiterated that Viet Nam treasures the affections and invaluable support of Cambodia's leaders and people, particularly the significant contributions made by Hun Sen to building, preserving and nurturing relations between the two countries.
Viet Nam–Cambodia relations hold great importance to the stability and development of both countries, he said, adding that the relationship between the two Parties serves as a solid political foundation guiding cooperation between the two countries.
To further strengthen bilateral relations in the new era, the two leaders vowed to continue promoting existing cooperation mechanisms across all channels, including meetings between the two Parties.
They underlined the need to boost exchanges between young leaders and young people, while fostering ties among their legislative, executive and judicial bodies, mass organizations and localities.
Both sides pledged to promote economic connectivity, develop border gates and border infrastructure, increase Vietnamese investment in Cambodia, effectively carry out cooperation projects, and address difficulties and obstacles to facilitate trade and investment.
The two sides asserted to encourage their businesses to expand cooperation in areas with strong potential, such as agro-processing, aquaculture, clean energy and logistics.
They underscored the role of the two countries' legislative bodies in improving institutional frameworks, establishing favorable legal conditions and overseeing the implementation of cooperation agreements.
The host and the guest emphasized the need to further deepen defense and security cooperation and maintain a peaceful, stable, cooperative and developing border.
They concurred to advance the resolution of border areas where demarcation and boundary-marker placement remain incomplete, and improve effectiveness of law enforcement forces and local authorities in border areas.
Both sides agreed to continue joining hands to search and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia during different periods of war.
The two sides vowed to work closely to ensure the successful organization of activities under the Viet Nam–Cambodia Friendship Year in 2027, marking the 60th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
They affirmed to continue promoting exchanges and cooperation among Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos, contributing to strengthening solidarity and cooperative relations among the three countries. /.
