VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted an official welcome ceremony for Cambodian counterpart Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet at the Presidential Palace in Ha Noi on Monday morning.

This is Hun Manet’s first official visit to Viet Nam and to a ASEAN member State since he took office in August this year.

The visit aims to further strengthen the fine relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia.

Viet Nam and Cambodia set up diplomatic ties in 1967 and both countries have coordinated closely at regional and international forums, contributing to heightening the position and prestige of each country on the globa arena.

Viet Nam is Cambodia’s biggest trading parter in ASEAN, with the two-way trade reaching US$10.57 billion last year, or a year-on-year increase of around 10.88 percent.
