This is Hun Manet’s first official visit to Viet Nam and to a ASEAN member State since he took office in August this year.
The visit aims to further strengthen the fine relations between Viet Nam and Cambodia.
During his two-day visit, Hun Manet is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and meet with other senior Vietnamese leaders to discuss ways to beef up cooperation between the two countries.

Viet Nam and Cambodia set up diplomatic ties in 1967 and both countries have coordinated closely at regional and international forums, contributing to heightening the position and prestige of each country on the globa arena.
Viet Nam is Cambodia’s biggest trading parter in ASEAN, with the two-way trade reaching US$10.57 billion last year, or a year-on-year increase of around 10.88 percent.
