Prime Minister hosts reception for Indian National Security Advisor

VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday hosted a reception for National Security Advisor of India Ajit Doval, who is now in Viet Nam to attend the funeral for Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Prime Minister Pham expressed his sincere gratitude to the Indian Government and people for their heartfelt affections for the deceased by sending of a high-ranking official to Viet Nam to attend the funeral of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, organizing a minute of silience by Indian Parliament’s in commemoration of Party Chief Nguyen Phu Trong on July 22.

These above moves represent the good affections of the close friends and the valuable tradition between the two nations, Pham added.

Pham suggested the two countries continue to work together so as to make the Viet Nam-India comprehensive strategic partnership further develop.

He called on the two countries to expand cooperation in such potential areas like science and technology, information – telecommunication, and digital technology.

In reply, the Indian official stressed that Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is the leader respected by international people, including Indian people, and expressed appreciation to the late leader’s important contributions to the strengthening of the Viet Nam-India relations in various positions.

The Indian government, said the National Security Adviser, treasures the comprehensive strategic partnership with Viet Nam and hopes to further deepen the bilateral relations, especially in the traditional fields such as national defense and security, and trade – investment./.
