The two leaders hailed each side's significant achievements in socio-economic development, expressing their delight at the positive momentum and progress in the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations.

Prime Minister Pham affirmed that developing relations with China is a consistent policy, an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority of Viet Nam's foreign policy.

He highly appreciated China's contributions to and role in successfully hosting the 8th GMS Cooperation Summit.

Regarding future cooperation, Pham suggested both sides continue to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by the two countries' senior leaders, and maintain all-level delegation exchanges to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interests.

He called on China to provide financial support and transfer technologies to Viet Nam, and help the Southeast Asian country to train human resources for the implementation of three standard-gauge railway projects: Lao Cai–Ha Noi–Hai Phong, Lang Son–Ha Noi, and Mong Cai–Ha Long–Hai Phong.

Pham asked the Chinese side to continue opening its market for Viet Nam's key agricultural products and work with Viet Nam to establish inspection and quarantine stations for Vietnamese agricultural products at the Dong Dang–Pingxiang Railway Borer Gate.

Pham called on the two countries to promote cooperation in electricity trading, speed up the implementation and gradual expansion of the smart border gate model to other border gate pairs, and soon organize exchanges between working groups on the cross-border economic cooperation zone model.

The guest suggested that both sides strengthen the social foundation of their bilateral relations, well organize the Year of Viet Nam–China Humanistic Exchange in 2025, and boost tourism recovery to the pre-pandemic levels.

Both sides should effectively controll maritime disagreements, ensuring that maritime issues do not affect the good friendship between the two countries, noted the Vietnamese Government chief.
