President receives Chief Justice of Russia
VGP - President Vo Van Thuong on Monday hosted a reception for Chief Justice Lebedev Vyacheslav Mikhailovich who led a delegation of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation on a working visit to Viet Nam.

The Chief Justice of Russia handed over the letter of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Vietnamese State leader, in which President Putin highlighted the long-lasting traditional friendship with Viet Nam is one of priorities in Russia's foreign policy.
Russia pledges to strengthen collaboration with Viet Nam across all domains, including priority areas in the 2022-2023 period, said Lebedev.
The Russian side hails the outcomes of the working sessions of the Viet Nam-Russia Inter-governmental Committee, he added.
Given the complex global developments, both sides should jointly bolster cooperation in fields of oil and gas production, economy, investment, agriculture and enhance coordination between the judiciary and judicial authorities, said Lebedev.
Regarding cooperation between the two courts, Lebedev said that the two agencies have worked together to ensure fair and democratic trials.
Both sides vowed to step up delegation exchange, improve professional qualifications of judges and court officials at all levels.
President Vo said that he concurs with the points raised by Putin in the letter, especially in regards to enhancing the long-standing traditional friendship between the two nations across all sectors.
Viet Nam attaches importance to the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, considering the relationship as a top priority, President Vo affirmed.
Viet Nam wishes to further promote cooperation with Russia in a effective manner, for the sake of the two nations and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world, the Vietnamese leader added.
Vo stressed that the Vietnamese court sector plays a crucial role in implementing the strategy for building and fine-tuning the socialist rule-of-law State of Viet Nam until 2030, with a vision to 2045, which includes various aspects related to improving the operating efficiency of the court system.
Viet Nam encourages international cooperation between the Vietnamese court sector and the Supreme Court of Russia, as well as courts of other countries, to share information, professional expertise, and improve legal and judicial systems, he said./.
