VGP - President Luong Cuong and his entourage left Ha Noi on Thursday for a two-day State visit to Laos at the invitation of Lao General Secretary, President Thongloun Sisoulith.

He is accompanied by President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh.
This is Luong's first State visit to Laos in his capacity as the President of Viet Nam, reflecting Viet Nam's high regard and priority for Laos, as well as the determination of the leaders of the two Parties and the two countries to promote the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.
The visit reaffirms the consistent stance of the Party and State of Viet Nam to consider the Laos and the Viet Nam-Laos special relationship as one of the top priorities in its foreign policy.
The visit also underscores Viet Nam's strong support for Laos' renovation efforts, while serving as a concrete action to further strengthen the close and special ties between the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two countries./.
