President highlights role of "Belt and Road" cooperation mechanism

With high determination, huge investment, and concrete actions, the initiative has become an open, inclusive and high-quality cooperation framework, bringing practical benefits to the involved parties and promoting cohesion among countries, Vo said in his remarks at the high-level forum on digital economy of the 3^rd Belt and Road Forum on International Cooperation in Beijing, China, on October 18.

Viet Nam always backs initiatives that are conducive to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world and the Southeast Asian nation has actively participated in many global mechanisms and initiatives initiated by China.

With regard to digital economy, President Vo said digital transformation is inevitable trend that has evolved profoundly across the globe and it has been driven by new technological advances.

He emphasized that digital economy opens up greater development space and enhance connectivity among countries.

Vo called for cooperation in digital institutions, digital infrastructure and human resource training, and improvement of countries' capacity in joining global digital economy./.
