President Biden's Viet Nam visit help enhance mutual understanding
VGP – President Joe Biden's recent visit to Viet Nam contributes to enhancing mutual understanding between Viet Nam and the U.S., which is beneficial to the two countries and to peace, stability and development across the world.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry shared the above view during their meeting on the sidelines of the 78th UNGA session in New York on September 21.
Kerry said President Joe Biden was impressed with the warm hospitality that Viet Nam offered to during his visit, affirming that the U.S. consistently attaches importance to the relations with Viet Nam and supports Viet Nam to take a greater role in global efforts against climate change.
Kerry also said the U.S. will continue strengthening cooperation with and support for developing countries, including Vet Nam in climate change adaptation, clean energy development, start power transmission, and infrastructure.
He expressed his wish to continue cooperation with Viet Nam in realizing commitments at the COP26 and the next conferences
Prime Minister Pham appreciated Kerry's support for Biden's Viet Nam visit and the elevation of the two countries' ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Pham and Kerry discussed measures to promptly implement the agreements reached during Biden's visit, particularly in climate change area .
Pham asked the U.S. to continue support for Viet Nam's efforts to realize the Southeast Asian country's commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and build renewable energy sector./.
