Politburo decisions on personnel work announced

VGP - The Politburo on Tuesday appointed General Trinh Van Quyet, Chairman of the General Department of Politics under the Viet Nam People’s Army, as new Chairman of the Central Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization.

The Politburo also appointed Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri as Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Commission for Home Affairs.

The same day, the State President appointed Chairman of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia as new Chairman of the General Department of Politics under the Viet Nam People's Army.

Nguyen Trong Nghia, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, was also promoted to the rank of General from his previous rank of Senior Lieutenant General.

The State President also decided to promote the rank from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General for Deputy Ministers of Defense Nguyen Van Gau and Le Duc Thai./.
