PM's visit creates essential basis for Viet Nam-China relations: FM Bui Thanh Son
VGP - Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son gave an interview to the press about the results of PM Pham Minh Chinh's business trip, visiting the People's Republic of China and attending the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Comrade Pham Minh Chinh's first visit to China as Prime Minister, took place on the occasion of the 15th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership (June 2008 - June 2023).
Foreign Minister Bui said the visit was a great success and achieved many significant results, reflected in four aspects.
First, political trust between the two countries has been enormously strengthened, creating an essential basis for promoting and further deepening the Viet Nam - China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new situation, benefitting the people.
Second, the two sides reached various important common perceptions, agreed on specific measures to promote cooperation in many fields, and thus, laying foundation for fostering bilateral relations in the coming time.
Third, friendly understanding is enhanced, strengthening the social foundation for cooperation. The two sides agreed to maintain regular exchanges through the channels of the Party, the Government, the National Assembly, and the Fatherland Front between their ministries, branches, localities, and people.
Fourth, the visit had a wide range of activities, bringing substantive results. Besides official events, the Prime Minister attended and spoke at the Viet Nam - China Business Forum, met with Chinese business leaders, to name but a few.
Notably, the participation of Prime Pham at the WEF Conference in Tianjin, as one of the prominent guests representing emerging economies, is of great significance.
Specifically, the leader shared many effective, practical, and timely opinions, orientations, and solutions, derived from Viet Nam's experience, to promote global economic growth.
Additionally, the participation of the Prime Minister has contributed to the substantive promotion of the relationship between Viet Nam and the WEF. Also, this conveys to the global business community Viet Nam's achievements, potentials, strengths, goals, and development orientation.
The Prime Minister's first participation at the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) of the World Economic Forum (WEF) has made a good impression on the international business community regarding the role and position of Viet Nam, the potential and bright prospects of the Vietnamese economy./.
