Orientations for re-arranging, streamlining Party organs unveiled
VGP – Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung on Sunday announced the Politburo's orientations to re-arrange and streamline the Party organs.
Accordingly, the Central Communication and Education Commission may be considered to merge with the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization.
The Central Commission for External Relations may be dismantled and its functions will be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Party Central Committee.
The Central Commission for Senior Official Healthcare Service may be considered to dissolve and its functions will be transferred to the Central Organization Commission, the Ministry of Health and several central-level hospitals.
The Politburo also requested consideration of transferring the functions and tasks of the Central Theoretical Council and the Central Council for the Theory and Criticism of Literature and the Arts to the Ho Chi Minh Academy of Politics.
Currently, the Party has eight organs: The Office of the Party Central Committee, the Central Communication and Education Commission, the Central Commission for Internal Affairs, the Central Commission for Inspection, the Central Commission for Mass Mobilization, the Central Commission for Economic Affairs, the Central Commission for Organization, and the Central Commission for External Relations.
Orientations for re-arrangement of Party's press agencies
The Politburo requested consideration of transferring the functions of the Party organs' magazines to the Communist Magazine.
Following the merger, the Communist Magazine is responsible for re-arranging and streamlining its structural organization and payroll.
The Politburo also requested consideration of dissolving the Communist Party of Viet Nam Online Newspaper and transferring its functions to the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper.
The Central Communication and Education Commission and the Nhan Dan Newspaper will be responsible for re-arranging and streamlining the structural organization and payroll of the Nhan Dan Newspaper following the merger.
